قصــــــة معبرة للغاية من قصص قصيرة جدا مترجمة:

إنها تعتبر قصة قصيرة ولكنها من الأدب العربي وبها الكثير من العبر والموعظة…

One day, an ordinary man came to a chicken shop with a slaughtered chicken in his hand, which he wanted to clean from the feathers and cut.

في أحد الأيام جاء رجل عادي إلى محل دجاج وفي يده دجاجة مذبوحة يريد تنظيفها من الريش وتقطيعها، وكالعادة الجارية طلب منه صاحب المحل تركها والإتيان لأخذها بعد نصف ساعة حالما يكون قد انتهى من عمله.

And if a city judge comes to the chicken shop and asks the owner to sell him a chicken, the man tells him that he does not own any chicken in the shop and swears on that for fear of the judge except this chicken, which belongs to a man who will come to take it after he finishes working on it.

وإذا بقاضي المدينة يأتي لمحل الدجاج ويطلب من مالكه أن يبيعه دجاجة، فيخبره الرجل بأنه لا يملك أي دجاجة بالمحل ويقسم على ذلك مخافة من القاضي إلا هذه الدجاجة وهي ملك لرجل سيأتي ليأخذها بعد انتهائه من العمل عليها.

The judge says to him: “Give it to me, and when its owner comes to you, tell him that it has flown away, and if he objects to that, then let him complain to you and do not care about anything.”

فيقول له القاضي: “أعطني إياها وعندما يأتيك صاحبها أخبره بأنها قد طارت، وإن اعترض على ذلك فدعه يشتكيك ولا يهمك أي شيء”.

Indeed, the judge took the chicken and left, and when half an hour had passed, the owner of the chicken came to take it, and when the owner of the chicken store saw him, he told him that his chicken had flown, so the man said to him: “Are you crazy?! Let us go to the judge to judge between us and show the truth to its owner.”

وبالفعل أخذ القاضي الدجاجة ورحل، وعندما مرت نصف الساعة جاء صاحب الدجاجة ليأخذها، فعندما رآه صاحب محل الدجاج أخبره بأن دجاجته قد طارت، فقال له الرجل: “هل جننت يا هذا؟!، كيف لها أن تطير وقد أحضرتها إليك وهي مذبوحة أي ميتة!، هيا بنا للقاضي ليحكم بيننا ويظهر الحق لصاحبه”.

While the two men were going to the judge, they were surprised on their way by a Muslim and a Jew fighting with each other, so the owner of the chicken shop wanted to break up between them, but unfortunately for him, he inserted his finger in the eye of the Jew, and he popped it for him!

وبينما كانا الرجلين ذاهبين للقاضي إذ بهما يفاجأن في طريقهما بمسلم ويهودي يتعاركان مع بعضهما البعض، فأراد صاحب محل الدجاج أن يفض بينهما ولكنه ولسوء حظه يدخل إصبعه في عين اليهودي فيفقأها له!

So the people gathered around him and grabbed him tightly to throw him before the judge and obtain their right from him, but as soon as he approached the court, he escaped from them and ran for fear of punishment, entered a mosque and climbed on top of its minaret, and when they realized him, he jumped from the minaret on an old sheikh, and the sheikh died at that time.

فاجتمع الناس من حوله وأمسكوه بشدة ليزجوا به عند القاضي وينالوا حقهم منه، ولكنه ما إن اقترب من المحكمة أفلت منهم وركض خوفا من العقاب، ودخل مسجدا وصعد فوق منارته، وعندما أدركوه قفز من على المنارة على شيخ عجوز فمات الشيخ حينها.

They brought him to the judge, and they were the owner of the chicken, the Jew whose eye was gouged out, the son of the sheikh who died, and many people; When the judge saw him, he knew him with certainty of knowledge, but he did not know that he had three cases, and as soon as he knew that, he asked them to judge one case after another…

أدخلوه على القاضي وقد كانوا صاحب الدجاجة واليهودي الذي فقأت عينه وابن الشيخ الذي مات وكثير من الناس؛ عندما رآه القاضي عرفه يقين المعرفة ولكنه لم يكن يعلم أن عليه ثلاثة قضايا، وما إن علم بذلك طلب منهم أن يحكم في قضية تلو الأخرى…

The judge said, “Call the owner of the chicken.” The man said in turn: “Mr. Judge, I gave him my chicken and he asked me for permission to go and come back to get it. When I came to him, he told me that it had flown away. How is this possible, sir, when the chicken was slaughtered?”

The judge said to him: “Do you not believe in God, O man?” He said: “Yes, I believe in Him, Glory be to Him.”

The judge said to him: “He revives the bones while they are rotten, stand up, and you have nothing with this man!”

قال القاضي نادوا على صاحب الدجاجة، فقال الرجل بدوره: “يا سيدي القاضي لقد أعطيته دجاجتي وطلب مني أذن أذهب وأعود لأخذها، وعندما جئته قال لي بأنها طارت، كيف يعقل هذا يا سيدي القاضي والدجاجة كانت مذبوحة؟!”

فقال له القاضي: “ألا تؤمن بالله يا رجل؟!”، قال: “بلى أؤمن به سبحانه وتعالى”.

فقال له القاضي: “يحيي العظام وهي رميم، قم وليس لك شيء عند هذا الرجل”!

And he came to the Jew, who told him what happened, and the judge said to him: “In our Islam, the blood money of a Muslim to the people of the dhimma is half, meaning that we gouge out your second eye, so that the man will gouge out one eye.” The Jew said: “I give up my right, sir.”

The son of the dead Sheikh came and told the judge what had happened, so the judge said to him: “Go with the accused at the lighthouse, and you climb over it and jump on it.” The son of the dead man said: “But if he moves to the right or to the left, I will die, sir.” He replied: “By God, it is not With my problem then, why didn’t your father move right or left then?!”

The young man said: “I waive my right to claim against him, sir.”

وجاء باليهودي والذي قص عليه ما حدث، فقال له القاضي: “في إسلامنا دية المسلم لأهل الذمة النصف، بمعنى نفقأ عينك الثانية لنفقأ للرجل عينا واحدا”، فقال اليهودي: “إني أتنازل عن حقي يا سيدي”.

وجاء ابن الشيخ الميت فقص على القاضي ما حدث، فقال له القاضي: “اذهبوا بالمتهم عند المنارة واصعد أنت فوقها واقفز عليه”، فقال ابن القتيل: “ولكن إذا تحرك يمينا أو يسارا أموت أنا يا سيدي القاضي”، فأجابه: “والله إنها ليست بمشكلتي إذا، لماذا لم يتحرك والدك يمينا أو يسارا حينها؟!”

فقال الشاب: “إنني أتنازل عن حقي في الادعاء عليه يا سيدي”.
