If you do, you will find that your little one will stand out among his peers. So start now, even if it is simple. Start by reading a short story every day, and this will certainly make a significant difference in your little one’s progress and development.
القصـــــــــــــــــــــة:
It is said that in ancient times there were two sheep on a farm. One of them had beautiful, thick, very white wool and had a lot of meat, and its appearance pleased everyone who looked at it, literally, unlike the other, which was always tired, weak, and barely ate. As for its wool, it barely covered small parts of its emaciated body.
يحكى في قديم الزمان أنه كان هناك في إحدى المزارع نعجتان إحداهما كانت ذات صوف جميل وكثيف وشديد البياض وذات لحم مكدس ومنظرها يسر كل من نظر إليها حرفيا، بخلاف الأخرى والتي كانت دائمة الإعياء ضعيفة البنيان بالكاد تأكل، أما عن صوفها فبالكاد كان يغطي أجزاء بسيطة من جسدها المتآكل.
Whenever the first sheep met the second, weak, emaciated sheep, she would boast about her beauty and mock her sister. The other sheep would get upset and feel heartbroken. She would always try hard to eat more grass in order to improve her appearance and so that the fat, beautiful sheep would stop bothering and hurting her with the poisonous words that she always insisted on making her hear.
كانت النعجة الأولى كلما قابلت النعجة الثانيــــة الضعيفة الهزيلة كانت تتفاخر بجمالها وتسخر من أختها، فكانت الأخرى تتضايق وتشعر بكسرة بقلبها، فكانت دوما تحاول جاهدة أن تكثر من أكلها للعشب رغبة في تحسين هيئتها وشكلها وحتى تتوقف النعجة السمينة الجميلة عن مضايقتها وإيذائها بالكلمات السامة التي كانت تصر على إسماعها إياها دائما.
One day a butcher came to the farm and its owner suggested that he look at the two sheep, the fat one and the lean one, and decide which one would suit him. When the butcher saw the fat sheep, he was pleased with its beautiful appearance, and he decided to buy it immediately and pay the full amount that the farm owner ordered without saying a word, because this sheep was full of meat and wool and useful and beneficial to him.
وفي يوم من الأيام جاء جزار إلى المزرعة وأشار عليه صاحبها أن يلقي نظرة على النعجتين السمينة والهزيلة ويتخذ قراره أيهما ستصلح له، وعندما رأى الجزار النعجة السمينة سرت نفسه بمنظرها الجميل، وقرر شرائها على الفور ودفع المبلغ الذي أمر به صاحب المزرعة كاملا دون كلمة واحدة منه، فهذه نعجة متكدسة اللحم وكثيرة الصوف ومفيدة ونافعة بالنسبة إليه.
As for the second, thin sheep, he said to the farm owner: “What good is it to me? It neither fattens nor satisfies hunger. It is just bones without meat. It has been so exhausted that it is now completely devoid of wool!”
أما النعجة الثانية الهزيلة فقال لصاحب المزرعة: “وما فائدتها لي إنها لا تسمن ولا تغني من جوع، فهي عظام بلا لحم، لقد أنهكها الإعياء لدرجة أنها باتت خالية من الصوف!”.
The beautiful fat sheep called for help from her weak sister, and the emaciated one said to herself, since she could not and would not be able to help her no matter how hard she tried: “Praise be to God who has blessed me with His grace and made me weak so that my reward in the end will not be a knife!”
استنجدت النعجة السمينة الجميلة بأختها الضعيفة، فقالت الهزيلة في نفسها فهي لم ولن تستطيع إعانتها مهما حاولت: “الحمد لله الذي أنعم علي بفضله وجعلني ضعيفة حتى لا يكون جزائي في النهاية سكين!”
